Director
National Steel Bridge Alliance
Arun Shirole, P.E., is the Executive Director of the National
Steel Bridge Alliance. He holds M.S. (Civil) and M.B.A. degrees
and was a Transportation Fellow at Harvard University. As
the Director of the Structures Design and Construction Division
and Deputy Chief Engineer for the NY State DOT, he oversaw
a network of 20,000 bridges. He has chaired the AASHTO Committee
T-11 on Research and TRB Committees on General Structures
and Construction Management. Currently, he chairs the Coordinating
Committee for FHWA's Highway Seismic Research being conducted
at the MCEER and NCHRP Expert Panel on Life Cycle Cost Analysis.
